René Belloq is a character released with Indiana Jones Update on 8th August 2023, and is a part of the Indiana Jones character collection.

About[]

René Belloq is the main antagonist of Lucas film's 1981 feature film, Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark.

A rival archaeologist to Indiana Jones from France, he constantly was at odds with the American researcher and always trying to stay one step ahead of him in gaining any major finds that would benefit his benefactors. After notably sneaking to gain a fertility idol from his rival in Peru, the two would come to odds in the search for the Ark of the Covenant, where Belloq would work with the German army to assist in gaining the sacred artifact of antiquity at all costs, even with the potential of paying the ultimate price when finally discovering the truth of the Ark and its contents.
