The Magic Pedestal feature was introduced to the game with the Finding Nemo Event, Thrill Levels Update on 6th August 2019.
After unlocking a Landmarks Attraction, you will activate the Zone Thrill Level feature and the Magic Pedestal for the Zone.

The Magic Pedestals supporting blue orbs were added to the Landmark Attractions (California Screamin', Space Mountain...). These mysterious devices are Magic Pedestal. They serve as a source of Magic which you will earn based on each Zone's current Thrill Level – i.e. the higher your Thrill Level, the higher the Magic Pedestal Level will be, and the more magic you'll produce!

The Level 1 Magic changed from 60 to 25 and the Level 2 Magic changed from 100 to 75 with Hercules Part 2 Update on 7th May 2024.- The Thrill Zone feature was actuated with Hercules Part 2 Update to the Adventureland area, also known as the Expedition Everest zone.
- The Thrill Zone feature was actuated with Pinocchio Event Update to the Frontierland area, also known as the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad zone.
- Due to a glitch WDW 50th Anniversary, Haunted Mansion Tower Challenge Update on 5th October 2021, players were able to collect the Magic rewards from "it's a small world" Thrill Zone every 2m instead of every 12h. This was fixed the following days.
- The Thrill Zone feature was actuated with WDW 50th Anniversary, Haunted Mansion Tower Challenge Update to the Fantasyland area, also known as the "it's a small world" zone.
- The Thrill Zone feature was actuated with Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope Event Update to the Tomorrowland area, also known as the Space Mountain zone.
- The Thrill Zone feature was actuated with Finding Nemo Event, Thrill Levels Update to the Toontown area, also known as the California Screamin' zone.
- Magic Pedestals were added to the game with the DuckTales, Enchantments Update on 2nd July 2019 although they weren't workingthey at that time.
