Gonzo is a character released with The Muppets Part 2 Update on 5th November 2024, and is a part of the The Muppets character collection.
About[]
Gonzo is the local artist, daredevil and overall weirdo within the Muppets, tending to have all things strange and wonderful follow him around. Initially lacking confidence in his attempts to do strange acts like eating a tire to classical music, he eventually embraced a more wild, slightly masochistic personality while embracing the strange creature that he is, including his strong relationship with his beloved chicken, Camilla.
Gonzo was originally created as the "Cigar-Box Frackle" for a Christmas special in 1970 called The Great Santa Claus Switch; but was given his current design from a 1974 TV special that would ultimately be used for The Muppet Show starting in 1976. He was likewise revealed to be an alien in the 1999 film Muppets From Space, but still prefers to be accepted as just who he is without any labels.
