About[]
Carl Fredricksen is a retired balloon salesman who decides one day to fly his entire house with his balloons to Paradise Falls in Venezuela, both as a means to prevent his house from being demolished and in memory of his deceased wife, Ellie, whom he promised they would make to the destination together during their marriage. While initially a grumpy curmudgeon, Carl learns to accept others in his life as he encounters new friends and rediscovers the "spirit of adventure" in the midst of trying to make it to his final destination.
