Archimedes is a character from the 1963 WDAS animated feature The Sword in the Stone.
Archimedes is a small owl who lives alongside Merlin and likewise assists in the teaching of Wart. Compared to Merlin, Archimedes is much more cynical about the wizard's visions and journeys into the future, casting doubt upon many of Merlin's own beliefs and tending to keep him in line as well as make sure that Wart's education is not completely corrupted by the potential lies of the future that Merlin claims.
