Anton Ego is a crucial supporting character from the 2007 film "Ratatouille".
Ego is a notable restaurant critic; he has a love of food but is very picky with what he considers "good food" and will write scathing reviews of places he sees as not fit to his palate. In the past, he had done a review of the then five-star restaurant opened by famed chef Gusteau, but this review was negative of the facility and it's food, leading to Gusteau's to lose one of it's stars and some of it's prestige in the process! As Remy and Linguini work to try and restore the reputation of the restaurant, Ego decides to once again challenge to restaurant to see if it had improved since the death of it's creator, leading to a showdown that would ultimately change his perspective on fine cuisine.
